Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 August 2026
This policy explains what Selira Sounds ("Selira", "the app") collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the Selira Sounds app for iOS and the services behind it, and no other app.
The short version: Selira collects what it needs to keep your account and your practice history working across devices. There is no advertising, there are no analytics or tracking SDKs, and nothing is sold.
Who we are
Selira Sounds is operated by Seraphim Technologies LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company operating from New York. You can reach us at support@seraphimapp.com about anything in this policy, including a request to access or delete your data.
What we collect
Account information. Your email address and display name. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive Apple's private relay address and never see your real one. If you set a profile picture, we store a reference to that image.
Your practice history. When you finish a session we record which scene or practice you played, how long it lasted, and when it finished — including the local time of day. That last detail is what lets Selira suggest the sound you usually reach for at this hour. We derive your totals, current streak and longest streak from it.
Things you create. Your stated goal, your saved mixes, your saved sessions, and any custom breathing patterns.
Subscription status. Whether you hold an active subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive your card details.
Diagnostics. If crash reporting is enabled in a release, we receive crash and error reports to fix faults. These are configured to exclude personally identifying information.
What stays on your device
Some things never leave your phone, and we cannot see them:
- Your alarms and wake-up settings
- Your app settings and preferences
- Downloaded audio files
- Your most recent track and playback position
- Your scheduled reminders and notifications
What we do not collect
Selira contains no advertising and no advertising identifiers. It does not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising.
We do not record audio. The app requests microphone access only because the audio engine declares it; nothing is captured, transmitted or stored.
We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, or your Apple Health data.
Why we use it
- To give you an account and keep your history available when you change device
- To show your minutes, sessions and streaks
- To suggest what you are likely to want to play, based on your own history and the time of day
- To remind you at a wind-down time you have chosen
- To unlock the features your subscription includes
- To find and fix crashes
If you are in the UK or the EEA: we rely on performance of our contract with you for the account and subscription, and on our legitimate interest in a working, reliable product for diagnostics and suggestions. Notifications rely on the permission you grant and can be withdrawn at any time in iOS Settings.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of providers, each acting on our instructions:
- Supabase — hosts the database and handles authentication
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, and all payment processing
- RevenueCat — determines your subscription entitlement, where enabled
- Sentry — crash and error diagnostics, where enabled
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Session history is kept so your totals and streaks remain accurate.
You can delete your account from Profile → Delete Account. That removes your profile, your statistics, your session history, your saved mixes and sessions, and your breathing patterns. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle.
Deleting the app alone does not delete your account — use Delete Account first if that is what you want.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it. Write to support@seraphimapp.com and we will respond within the period the law allows.
If you are in the UK or the EEA you also have the right to object to or restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your data protection authority.
If you are in California you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers out of the UK or EEA rely on the appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your rows is enforced at the database level, so one account cannot read another's data. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.
Children
Selira is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, write to support@seraphimapp.com and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app when the change is significant. Continuing to use Selira after a change means you accept the updated policy.
